Griggs Park Dallas Best Places to Take Photos

A couple of years ago, I brought you my list of the 5 Best Places to Take Photos in Big D, and now I’m back with more. As a Dallas branding photographer, I’ve had the privilege of discovering so many great spots for skyline views, artsy murals, eclectic backdrops, and charming streetscapes. Here are 6 more Dallas photoshoot locations that have become my go-tos and now top my unofficial/official roster of: best places to take photos in Dallas.

1. BISHIOP ARTS DISTRICT

Bishop Arts has a unique, diverse, action-packed vibe. You’ll find restaurants and chic shopping, street events with live music, and a lot of cool murals that can sometimes change with the season to keep you come back time and time again. This southern Dallas nook, in the heart of Oak Cliff, will give your photos creativity and curiosity with textured backdrops of street scape ambiance.

2. WHITE ROCK LAKE

Dallas may be a sea of stunning skyscrapers, which makes for beautiful photos, but just 7-miles from Downtown nature is calling. White Rock Lake is a glowing piece of Dallas serenity. Anytime is a good time to visit this paradise pond, but sunrise and sunset will give your photos an awesome golden glow. White Rock Lake is also a quintessential stop for Dallas engagement photos.

3. VICTORY PARK

Anchored by the American Airlines Center and home to the Dallas Mavericks, Victory Park is Dallas’ top spot for entertainment. Along with headlining concerts and the Perot Museum of Nature and Science, this glitzy stop features colorful sculptural art and store fronts that give your photos the complete metropolitan feel. If you’re a Dallas lifestyle photographer or fashion photographer, Victory Park is a must.

4. WINSPEAR OPERA HOUSE / ATT DISCOVERY DISTRICT

Nestled in Dallas’ Downtown Arts District, the Winspear Opera House is an architectural masterpiece, complete with a reflection pool. Nearby, you will also find one of Dallas’ newest prized possessions, the ATT Discovery District– a mecca for tech and large, lighted, art sculptures.

5. HIGHLAND PARK VILLAGE

Highland Park Village tops the list of ‘things to do in Dallas.’ It is one of the chicest shopping and dining experience in Big D. Here, you can find high-end boutique brands and luxury fashion and food. The good news? Whether you make the big bucks to shop here, or not, the grounds are finely kept with flowers and colorful bricks and tiles that it’s worth a stroll. Photos taken here give them interest, depth, and texture and it’s a great spot for Dallas fashion photographers and lifestyle photographers. It’s even a fun spot for family photos too!

6. GRIGGS PARK IN UPTOWN DALLAS

Uptown is Dallas’ #1 lifestyle district and if you’re looking for the ultimate urban oasis in Dallas then head to Griggs Park. Griggs Park is an 8-acre park nestled in the historical State-Thomas Neighborhood of Uptown. The park is easy to access, right off the 75/Central service road and comes with its very own skyline view. Be sure to pack a picnic for a lunchtime escape from the bustling big city.
