9 Best Locations for Branding Photography in Dallas
For the past 6 years, I’ve had the pleasure of calling Dallas my home, and I’ve had the incredible opportunity to explore (almost) every corner of this great city working as a Dallas branding photographer.
Over the years, I’ve grown to love the diverse scenery that Dallas has to offer, as well as the vibrant and supportive community that makes this city so special. My experience working with personal and commercial brands all over the city has allowed me to develop a deep understanding of the importance of choosing the right location for your branding photoshoot. The location of your shoot sets the stage for your brand’s visual story, builds its identity, and helps you convey specific messaging to your audiences. The architecture, colors, props, and overall ambience of the location in your photos help to communicate your brand’s distinct personality and allows your audience to envision what it is like working with you.
Different architectural styles convey narratives and feelings. A location with colorful murals and vibrant storefronts communicates creativity and playfulness, while a location with sleek and modern architecture would be the perfect spot to express themes of innovation and professionalism. Colors evoke specific emotions and associations, whether it’s vivid and bright colors for a more energetic brand or softer and neutral tones for brands that prioritize elegance and culture. The overall ambience of your location sets the mood and atmosphere for your brand. A busy city street perfectly captures the energy and liveliness of an urban brand, while a serene park can convey a sense of tranquility and calmness. By selecting a location that aligns with your brand’s identity, values, and aesthetics, you ensure that every aspect of your shoot harmonizes, resulting in consistent imagery that builds your brand’s identity, allows you to establish a connection with your audience, and helps you stand out from your competitors.
Looking for the right location can be a bit of a hassle, but I’m here to make it a little easier for you. As a Dallas branding photographer, I’ve been compiling branding photoshoot locations, both indoor and outdoor, for years, and I’d love to share some of them with you. Here are my top 9 picks in the Dallas, Texas area.
Indoor Locations
1. Space on South Side
This Dallas photography studio, The Space on South Side, is one of my favorites in town. It has an upstairs and downstairs space, and each space can be rented separately or as a whole. The downstairs is a modern loft with concrete floors and tons of natural light, which gives you a clean and contemporary look. The concrete floors add a nice industrial touch, while the natural light gives you a bright and airy atmosphere. (Bonus: they also have real plants!). On the other hand, the upstairs is a boudoir setting with sheer curtains, dark wood floor, a bed, a chandelier, and two sofas. Put all these elements together, and you’ve got a cozy and soft setting that is perfect for a variety of brands. Whether you choose to use one space or both, this location provides you with versatility and style.
Location: 4218 Main Street, Dallas, TX 75226.
Cost: $75 per hour.
2. Lumen Room: Lifestyle
With large windows for natural light and exposed brick, this historic loft in Old East Dallas is a popular spot for branding photoshoots (I’ve used this space for some of my favorite branding sessions). The Lumen Room: Lifestyle offers a variety of backgrounds, such as a blank canvas wall and colored rolling backdrops. This studio also has several furniture props available for use and a wardrobe to change in. The combination of natural light, different background types, and props allows you to create imagery that is specific to you and your brand’s needs. Whether you’re looking for a minimalistic aesthetic or you’d like to create a more visually captivating look with furniture and props, this studio is definitely one for you to check out.
Location: 4301 Bryan Street, Suite 303, Dallas, TX 75204.
Cost: $75 per hour.
3. Iris Acre Farms
The Iris Acre Farms is a spot I discovered recently, and it has quickly become one of my favorite homes to photograph in. This stunning custom modern farmhouse, designed by Ashley Chapman, has 32-foot cathedral ceilings and two walls of just windows that flood the home with the most beautiful natural light. The abundance of natural light makes it easy to take evenly lit photos that showcase the true colors, textures, and details of any brand. The home also features high-end furniture, minimalist decor, and a neutral color palette. Put all the amazing elements of this home together, and you’ve got a great spot for branding photoshoots for both personal and commercial brands.
Location: Argyle, Texas.
Cost: $165 per hour with a 2-hr minimum.
4. Stock and Seed
Stock and Seed is another stunning home located in Argyle, Texas. I’ve had many shoots here over the past couple of years and every time my client steps into the home for the first time they are pleasantly surprised at its design and its features. This home also provides you with TONS of natural light and a beautiful ranch-style farmhouse environment that creates soft and elegant imagery. Whether you want to capture lifestyle images for your personal brand, or you want to showcase your services and products for a commercial brand, this home offers a flexible and adaptable space. Its outdoor porch seating areas and modern garage doors also lend themselves to a great outdoor backdrop if needed!
Location: Argyle, Texas.
Cost: $175 per hour.

Outdoor Locations
5. Arts District
With its modern architectural buildings, urban landscape, and art sculptures, Downtown Dallas’ Arts District provides you with the opportunity to take branding photos that have a vibrant, sleek and dynamic atmosphere. The Winspear Opera House is an architectural wonder, and I love using it as the background in some of my shots whenever I’m working with a client in the Arts District. This district also features landscape gardens and a reflection pool that offer a serene and picturesque setting, adding a touch of nature to your images. This allows you to have photos that are versatile, creative, and artistic.
6. Deep Ellum
If you’re looking for a unique and eclectic environment, Deep Ellum is the perfect location for your branding photoshoot. Not only does it have several amazing restaurants (Vidorra being one of my favorites!), but it is also filled with colorful murals, unique street art, and artsy storefronts. These elements come together to create lively branding photos that convey a sense of creativity and individuality. Deep Ellum is also home to a mix of historic buildings and converted warehouses, providing a juxtaposition of old and new, traditional and modern. This contrast creates visually interesting images that help brands add more life to their imagery and stand out from their competitors.
7. Downtown Dallas
The towering skyscrapers, historic landmarks, and bustling streets make Downtown Dallas an exciting and intriguing location for branding photoshoots. I’ve had so much fun with my branding clients while Downtown. Not only do we create amazing images together, but there’s usually something interesting happening around us that we get to see. This location offers more than just a lively cityscape as a background; it also features an impressive collection of public art that gives you the chance to infuse creativity and cultural appreciation into your branding images.
8. Highland Park Village
Some of my favorite features of Highland Park Village are its Mediterranean-inspired architecture and design, as well as its beautifully kept flowers and greenery. This location is filled with high-end boutiques and gourmet restaurants, making it the perfect spot for brands that want to convey a sense of luxury and exclusivity. Each building in this location holds its own character, giving you the opportunity to choose a setting that best compliments your brand’s identity and aesthetic. When you choose this location, you’ll be able to showcase your brand’s sophistication, refinement, and alignment with high-end services/products. (Bonus: I love the climbing vines that provide year round greenery here!)
9. Bishop Arts District
I love the Bishop Arts District too much to leave it off this list. The Bishop Arts District is in the heart of Oak Cliff, and it is packed with trendy restaurants, cozy coffee shops, quirky storefronts, and street art. The cute spots that make this location amazing are not only great to use as backgrounds for branding photos but also great to step into and take photos. When you’re shooting at this location, the possibilities are endless. Whether you have a fashion and lifestyle brand or a creative and artistic brand, the Bishop Arts District offers an environment and atmosphere that will meet your brand’s needs. After your branding session, feel free to stop by one of the restaurants or coffee shops to grab a quick bite to eat.
