BRANDING PHOTOGRAPHY

Hiring a branding photographer isn’t always at the top of everybody’s To-Do list. But, speaking from experience, I know that businesses with expertly curated branding photography receive more exposure, inquiries, and sales.

Whether you’re looking to launch a new business, give it a fresh look or simply get the word out about your amazing services, branding photography is definitely something you should consider. Of course, as a brand photographer, I know that a successful branding session is more than just pictures of you and your location (though those are must-haves too!). Scroll on to find out the 5 key elements I focus on when producing a great branding session.

1) PROFESSIONAL HEADSHOTS:

OK, this one might go without saying but I’m gonna say it anyway: You’re going to need a good headshot — actually multiple headshots. Think of your professional headshot as your first impression to potential new clients. Of course, you want to make it a good one! As a headshot photographer, I strive to provide you with a variety of angles, distances, and poses (including a few fun, personality-packed ones) so you can have a versatile gallery for various purposes such as header images, about page content, and social media websites like LinkedIn and Instagram

2) HIGHLIGHTING PRODUCTS:

If you’re selling your own products or making a commission on products you use in your business, then you’re definitely going to want to shine the spotlight on those during your branding session. In addition to capturing traditional product photography images, I encourage my clients to utilize their products during our shoot. Showing how products are used in real applications is great to showcase on your website or when you’re running special promos for the holidays or sales via social media. Remember, when you’re able to sell the lifestyle your clients want, the products will sell themselves.

3) VISUALIZING THE SERVICES:

During our session, we’ll get pics of you doing what you do best! We’ll highlight the particular services your business offers by photographing you in action. Pictures like these come in handy for promo ads, booking pages, services listings, and even on the “About Us” tab on your website. In addition to showing prospective clients what they can expect from working with you, service photos show how your business stands out against the competition!

4) THE CLIENT EXPERIENCE:

Nothing is more important to me than my own clients’ experience, which is why I know it matters to you too. One of my jobs as your branding photographer is to highlight the experience you strive to provide to your client base. One of the best ways to do that is to capture the experience organically by bringing a model “client” with you! During my branding session with the talented Rhode Island hairstylist, Shannon Hughes, I suggested she bring a model with her to our shoot so that I could get photos of Shannon’s styling process. Shannon was able to walk away with great action shots to feature on booking websites and her social media accounts that show future clientele that her services garner happy results!

5) INFUSE BRAND PERSONALITY:

Adding a bit of personality to your photos is the easiest way to make yourself more relatable to your client base. Through wardrobe, backdrop, color palettes, and the use of props we can find easy ways to portray who you are to your clients without even being obvious about it. At the end of the day, you want your brand to stand out in the world of oversaturated markets. By infusing a bit of your unique personality into our branding session, we will highlight how your brand pops against the competition!
