LARA + MATT

OH MAN you guys, this engagement session gave me ALL THE FEELS. Since graduating from UMass Amherst in 2013, I’ve visited the campus many times to use the beautiful scenery as a backdrop for senior portrait sessions to engagement photos. There is honestly so much I love about this campus- the variety of buildings with a unique blend of architectural styles, the pond (minus the Canada Goose infestation), and the well-manicured landscaping and lush gardens throughout. I really don’t think I appreciated it enough until after I graduated (probably because I was too busy running around like a crazy stressed-out person while I was there). But now looking at things through an artistic lens, I feel like I hit the photographer jackpot every time I convince a client to have their session there.

Lara and Matt’s story is that kind of super cute love that began in college and blossomed in the years that followed. They started seeing each other between classes and met up for lunch at Blue Wall in the Campus Center. (Where are my UMass Alums at??) And now, they’re ENGAGED and planning their fall wedding next year at one of my most favorite Western Mass venues- Valley View Farm.
