My Philosophy as a Creative Director

When choosing a team to capture your brand’s content, it’s important not only to find a portfolio of work that fits your style, but also to find people who you connect with. Connection is key to a great client relationship, and we pride ourselves on being easy-going, organized, creative, and being great listeners as well. My team and I promise not only to capture beautiful content for your brand, but to also help you feel confident in front of the camera and provide a really fun experience.

Who I am

I am the creative director, lead brand photographer and founder of Monika Normand Creative LLC. I am a Massachusetts native, but it was my moved to Dallas in 2017 that really grew Monika Normand Creative into what it is today.

I’ve always craved variety in life and am constantly in the pursuit of self-improvement and learning. My personal taste is very eclectic- I love Nirvana and Frank Sinatra, classic cars and environmentalism, minimalism and sentimental treasures, astrology and science, and nearly everything in between.

My photography style and approach as a creative director reflect my eclectic nature as a person, and because of that I feel I can truly appreciate each of my clients’ personal tastes. I am proud of my ability to connect with people and make them feel seen, and I believe it is something that has set me apart in the brand photography world.

My Background

Before launching my photography business, I studied wildlife and fisheries biology at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst where I earned my bachelor’s degree in Natural Resource Conservation. I’m a big nature kid and always wanted to have a positive impact on the planet. While earning my degree, I photographed friends and family and realized that photography combined so many things that I loved most – discovering new and beautiful places, creating art, and making people happy.

Over the past 10 years, I have poured my heart and soul into building this photography business, and I can’t thank my incredible clients enough for their support, trust, and love that has brought me to where I am today. I am so grateful to lead and work alongside a wildly talented creative team that builds brands for clients in the Dallas Fort Worth area and beyond.
